This past Sunday, I cruised down to San Diego to attend Auto Fashion USA’s 1oth Annual “VIP Fest”. Everything about the event was perfect, from the weather to the venue, Green Flash Brewing Co. and of course, the cars in attendance.

I first met Greg before working at Street Faction so I
was looking forward to seeing Greg’s Infiniti M37. The M37 was front and center with the rest of the Royal Flush Crew members. Aired out with it’s AimGain kit just millimeters from the asphalt.

Greg’s car left our shop on Friday night to attend this event. His custom engine bay cover was custom fabricated at our shop earlier this month. The fitment and finish came out perfect and we are honored to have his amazing build showcasing the kind of specialty pieces we create here.

Parked to the left of Greg’s car was fellow Royal Flush Crew Member, Raymund Young.

Raymond was Matt’s first customer to receive a complete engine cover that was hand made by Matt in his garage when the shop and equipment we have now was just a dream.

In a corner tucked away I found Jay and his immaculate Lexus RC who just the day before this event mad ehis way back from Las Vegas where he debuted his build at SEMA.

We were fortunate enough to be a part of his project by producing a complete 6 point bolt-in roll cage here at the shop. His cage was the first produced but we look forward to making our cages available for other platforms in the near future.

Posted right next to the RC was Mikey’s Porche Slant Nose 997 courtesy of Old New JP

This 997 is fresh of the SEMA boat as well, debuting the complete kit as well as Mikey’s new shop IDL Design USA

Interior was something I had personally never seen, a perfect blend of 80’s style with the textured steering wheel, door cards, center console and e-brake but still had a modern feel with the exposed mechanical components.

Definitely look forward to seeing what other cars are produced by the guys over at IDL Design or the upcoming season.

Another company I was looking forward to seeing at the event was T-Demand who also made the trip from Las Vegas to SD in full force.
dsc_0108
T-Demand is a shop out in Japan that is producing some serious suspension components for various applications but one thing that sets this company apart from others is their attention to detail and overall high quality appearance.

Their demo car was fitted with these brand new SSR Executor CV04 and their own Super Slim upgraded brake system

Their Products where even on display at the event along with Central Pine, one of their US Pro Shops.
dsc_0109
On the subject of Central Pine I made sure I said what’s up to Sam, who made the trip from the City of Orange in his static (for those of you who may not be familiar with this term it means the suspension is not adjustable) Q45.
dsc_0151
Sam is referred to as the “Static God” by some out here in California, after the last time we spoke about his car it’s crazy to hear the amount of work is done under the car in order for him to drive around at this height.

Another car the Central Pine brought down was this Gorgeous Lexus GS which was not only driven down to this event but also made the trip to and from the SEMA show in LV, and if you didn’t know this car is static as well!

One of the things I look forward to seeing at VIP Car event such as this one i the attention to detail in the trunk setups, like this first generation Lexus GS (mind you was the only one of this platform in the show)
dsc_0162
Another aspect of the VIP scene is the dressing of the interior, pictured is a complete revamping of the Colton’s 7 series BMW

I was super pumped to see this pair of Lexus LS400’s at the event, most of the time if you spot Colyn the Austin isn’t too far away.

dsc_0208
There’s just something mesmerizing about Austin’s Work Emits.
dsc_0173
Another car fitted with an AimGain kit was this wide body FRS, one thing I find really nice about these kits is the smoothness since there are not rivets and it flows with the original body lines the car came with. Really a good look for the FRS
dsc_0176
Now this is a car I’ve been following for a long time via Instagram, Ojay’s Lexus LS430 representing K-Break here stateside with this perfect wheel fitment and vibrant gold paint job.
dsc_0183
There were many cars in the second lot of the show but one that really caught my attention was this AMG swapped Mercedes E Wagon. I have a weak spot for white on white cars and am even greater weakness for wagons.

Obligatory TE37 photo, was nice to see this wheel choice on a VIP build.

As always it’s great to catch up with old friends, meet new ones and be able to enjoy everyone’s hard work as the show season comes to an end, can’t wait to see what everyone brings to the table next year.
